Our Approach
When I reached Biblical old age, I decided to experiment with a web site and blog before I ran out of days. At first, I resisted the lures of texting and following Facebook, but eventually joined the universe of social media.
I was born in New Zealand and came with my husband and two children to Canada where we added a third child. I was initially a supply teacher, a job which did little to advance learning but provided some funny stories. Then I accepted a full-time teaching position at a community college and later worked there in administration.
When I took early retirement, I missed the whole school atmosphere. Maybe I’d grown addicted to chalk dust. I became a reading tutor at my local elementary school. Since retirement, my life has revolved around my grown kids and growing grand kids, weeding my gardens, reading as many books as possible, doing as little housework as possible, enjoying my current Canadian critique group and spending part of each year in New Zealand.
